Wood Turnings, One-of-a-kind Art

These are beautiful pieces that have already found a home.

Each turning is a unique piece. No two turnings are alike. Logs and blanks are selected for their burly, figured appearance. Shape is determined by size of the blank, and location of bark intrusions and holes, and the artists interpretation of the best form to take. Wood turning takes a very skilled and steady hand. Large pieces and those with holes are the most difficult to turn. It is very easy for the piece to blow apart while hollowing out the inside of a vase with holes and bark! Each piece is hand sanded and finished to bring out the natural beauty of the wood. All pieces are then numbered and signed. This is man and nature coming together to create the finest art in wood.
