A Little Bit About Us

Ted and Aniela Armulowicz are the woodworkers behind the sawdust piles, crafting fine furnishings and accessories for homes and businesses.

We both love working with wood. Ted's Father in Poland was a woodworker, but Ted never knew that he had sawdust in his blood! Before Ted started working with wood, he could carve, paint pictures and cook, but when his first daughter was born in 1987, he built me a beautiful black walnut rocking chair. It was hand crafted since he did not have many tools at the time. And guess what? Today I have four rocking chairs. (3 girls and 1 boy!!!)

Within 10 years Ted went from designing and crafting wood projects for family and friends to building his own 3100 sq. ft. woodworking shop and showroom on an exclusive 18 acre tract in the Hill country near Austin Texas.

Today he is finishing the framing on his two story house by himself, with the help of his children and his wife Aniela. (That's me!)

Ted now designs custom furniture and produces special pieces for the most discriminating customers in Texas. We both create wood turnings from start to finish. Many customers come to Ted with special needs and requirements, and often request exotic woods for their one-of-a-kind rocking chairs or furniture pieces. We frequently exhibit our work at galleries, fine woodworking shows, and fine arts festivals around Texas where his work always draws a crowd!
